WOMEN BY WOMEN
“A woman’s duty is to carry a baby”, “You are not a feminist if you become a housewife”, or “You can never be a woman”. Society will always have something to nitpick when women choose how they want to live their lives; it is as if there is only one way to live. So, in the future, what if there is no ONE right answer to living as a woman?
Now imagine that future in a game form that allows users to choose from multiple choices.
Read through stories about the life experience of being a woman, using artworks about women, made by women worldwide before the year 2000s, to showcase all the various ways past women went on living their lives. Encouraging the user to use their imagination for all the possible tomorrows is important because you must see what the past women did to create a future for women.
It also creates a space for woman artists to get the recognition they deserve because, as usual, their achievements often get swept under the rug. A wish from a fellow woman to all other women out there is to have the option to choose how to live and be happy with their decisions without judgment.
